Dental Radiography, Scale and Polish
Dental hygiene is an important part of an animal’s health because dental disease can be associated with other serious health problems, such as heart and kidney disease.
We perform dental radiographs for every patient to ensure the health of the entire tooth because two thirds of the tooth is under the gumline. Dental radiographs can reveal things like abscesses, bone loss, impacted teeth and other problems.
During the dental cleaning, we’ll scale and polish teeth to treat and prevent periodontal disease. We can also apply sealants to help maintain a healthy mouth, slow progression of dental disease, and cover up sensitivity from chipped or fractured teeth.
